Introduction
With the coming of the post-consumption era, people in Taiwan increasingly attach importance to health, beauty, and the concept of nursing to provide them with better quality of life and meet the needs of the times. In view of the importance of beauty and health in the life of modern people, the Department of Heath and Beauty, originated from the group of beauty and health in the Department of Cosmetics Application and Management, was established on August 1, 2011 as a separate department to respond to the growing need of students. The purpose of this Department is, therefore, to foster basic talents and professionals in the field of health- and beauty-related industries, to enhance the research ability of Taiwan's health-, beauty-, and nursing-related disciplines and to combine them with practical application as the core of the development of the Department. Also, we look to the future for modern health care concepts and the emerging technology in health and beauty to foster all-round personnel in the area of health, beauty and management.
